A while ago, an instructor told me that my kicks were weak and we worked on it a bit. It was a rare session where I was the only trainee so he could pay attention to what I needed to work on. Since then, I’ve been going for trainings on and off due to injuries. Now that I’m recovered and ready to head back proper, I wanted to ensure I also work on that.
So, it seems like my problem is that I’m not using my core/hips well enough. I’m deducing this based on the instructor saying I have a stronger left kick and I kinda feel like I am using those parts more on my left leg. I skateboard and my left leg is my balancing leg so that might be why I have stronger muscles there too? Anyway, I wanted to know if anyone knows or can point me to a resource on exercises to do that can help improve this aspect? Any other tips are welcome too.
So I’m looking at things I can do at home while watching the telly. Not something that I must head to the gym to do.
