I saw a lot of posts recently in all platforms about "Aggressive Pressure Fighter vs Tactical (Passive) Counter Fighter".
But there is something like Mike Tyson who was a counter puncher. You can aggressively create an opening with pressure by actively luring a response to your move then hitting the actual move you want to use to counter his reaction.
Like an example. I put the front leg out further to lure a low kick. If he kicks, i dodge by pulling it back then slide forward with a punch. If he does not kick, i pull the back leg closer to the front leg to close in the distance until he stops running away from me.
Another example. I try to paw down opponent's guard. If he responds in a stupid way like moving his guard away from his face away from my hands, then i land a cross. If he does nothing, i pull his guards down and forward away from his face, i let go of his hands then land a punch to his face.
These are all counting on the opponent reacting in one of the few options i chose for him, which makes it Counter Fighter and also Pressure Fighter.
Worked for me so far in the beginner level. I mean, my opponents probably can counter those moves NOW, but back then they did not know those knowhows nor had the muscle memories for those knowhows nor actually did those knowhows.
Edit:
Superlek vs Wangchanoi fight seems to be his best fight. Checked out 3 of Wangchanoi fights but this was the best one packed with good textbook materials to copy from.
