Like, when you punch or kick, you ride the momentum at a pace where the maximum impact happens after "this much distance", right? So, what if i step in at that timing to throw off your momentum distance for your punch or kick before it gains a significant momentum? Can i get some feedbacks on this move?
I hope you can understand the technique verbally. I would rather not show this visually myself with a video cause my execution and demonstration are sloppy.
How is this better than just block? It is not better, it is just different. For contexts, i want to build a boxing style (as in no kick) that can fight against Muaythai as an equal. The strategy i am thinking like a scifi writer (who is not a scientist) at the moment is that, whenever a guy kicks at me, i cover myself with guards, rush in one step while he is standing on one leg in the middle of kicking, mess up his kick momentum (should hurt me less), and now we are in boxing range. So, i am not even checking what he is kicking. As soon as i sense he is about to kick, i glide in one step while covering myself up with guards, then eat that kick. Is this move feasible? Any feedbacks?
