Talking about Wes. Was this his best season of all time? He won against a very strong male cast, and was generally in control of the house, but most importantly, didn’t overplay the game like he tends to do for better or worse. I think most of these are pretty close together, and could make cases to move them around, but if I had to rank his best seasons I think I would go
All Stars 3 - like I said above, stacked competition, performed well in challenged and generally had power in the house without painting a target on his back as he usually does.
Exes 2 - He and Theresa were arguably the strongest team throughout the season, and I think Jordan and Sarah were the only other team that would even have a chance against them in a final. The twist obviously cost them, but he played a perfect game up until then, and it’s hard to hold a twist that had never been used before against him, especially in an era that didn’t generally have big format twists to look out for.
Rivals 1 - He was naturally in control of the game from the outset due to the format/cast, but he and Kenny managed it perfectly, and Wes was arguably the second best individual performer after CT. The horrible design of the final cost him and Kenny, and Wes looked bad cramping up on the mountain. But they deserved the win much more than Johnny and Tyler.
Duel 1 - His first win. He did a great job rounding up the outsiders of the major alliance to keep each other safe, had a legendary elimination win, and getting Evan to call out CT was an all time political move. And it was a win against arguably the best male cast ever. The only reason it’s this low is that CT and Evan were clearly better competitors this season, and you can argue it was lucky for him to get swimming challenges as both of the final dailies to keep him safe, and that he benefitted from CT losing his elimination on a technicality. (I don’t have a problem with the soccer part of the final giving him an advantage but it’s worth mentioning as well.)
WOTW 1 - He controlled the game from start to finish, and came back from a long layoff following a poor showing in Rivals 3 and was very impressive throughout the challenges. Honestly could be ranked higher, but its hard to argue that at least Turbo, if not also Theo, were just better than him at this point anyways.
Rivals 2 - Maybe too low since he won. But this was CT’s season. Wes was a strong competitor and absolutely deserved the win, but was second fiddle to his partner not just competitively, but also politically.
