I told our HR lady, who is super nice, that I'm officially transgender. I meet tomorrow at work about what will be done to accommodate the transition. My company is super small and very nice. They treat us well. I'm a little nervous as I'm their first transgender employee. It's mainly to clerical reasons and to make sure everything is done by the book and I can keep a log of this for when I change my gender marker and legal name. Wish me luck, sisters!!!
!! UPDATE: My HR rep said they and the company fully support my transition and are ready to back me in any way that I need. They also said there is a zero tolerance policy for any discrimination whatsoever. I'm the company's first Trans employee and the HR rep said she doesn't know much about the community but is trying very hard to learn to be accommodating. They are sending a memo to the employees to make my transition publicly known to avoid any issues anyone may have.
I am so happy right now, I can't even express it.
