Ladies, When did you Become Comfortable Correcting People Who Misgender you?

I don't like being called a dude, but I'm too afraid to correct anyone. I have no right to, I still look like a dude, so it's reasonable to assume I am a dude. Heck, for the same reason I'm afraid to introduce myself as female. So, how did you get to a point when you became comfortable with asking people to refer to you as female.

P.S. I'm talking about in person. It's so much easier to present as female online because no one has to see my face.

P.P.S. I don't actually mind being called the word "dude" I'm just using it for a synonym for male here.
