I was at Ulta making a return. Ulta is extremely Trans friendly. Many workers have their pronouns on their name tag. I was returning some lipstick that was far too dark. I don't know if I fully pass, but I was wearing my bra pads, a women's shirt, and my name is Gwen, which was confirmed by the sales person for the return. She was having issues with my return so she called over her radio and said "I have an issue he's trying to return an online order". I know it wasn't mean spirited she admitted she was new, she's maybe 20-ish years old. But I've NEVER corrected anyone with my pronouns before. I debated for a while as to if I should say anything. Then I decided to politely respond, "I'm a girl". She blankly looked at me. She said "You're a girl." Then is said again "I'm a woman", then it visibly clicked in her head. "OH!" I smiled and she apologized and used She for the rest of the transaction. But it was my first time correcting someone on it. I felt like I was able to do so while being polite, but it was very scary. Also, at the same time oddly freeing. Does anyone else have a good story of someone being nice for pronoun correction?
