Had my first birthday since starting my transition

I came out publicly a few weeks before my birthday. My parents, who I've been out to for a few months now, hosted a dinner party for me, which included my partner, her best friend, my best friend, and some family friends. When everyone sang Happy Birthday using my chosen name, I nearly cried. The support I've received from the people close to me has been amazing and I wish everyone could have the sort of transition experience that I've been having.
