I came out to my supervisor on Monday, the rest of staff the day after, and decided I'd end the week on a high note and come in as my authentic self.

To be honest, I was a lot less nervous than I expected I'd be. I thought I'd be nervous as hell and sweating all day. But nope, all has been great! I even summoned up the courage to use the women's restroom for the first time and didn't have a horde of people trying to burn me!

More than anything though, I just feel comfortable being my authentic self. Seeing my preferred name and pronouns change in the office system gave me a big smile. I've got a while to go still, but I feel like things are clicking into place.
