Hey y'all - It's been a while since I posted... this sub and r/asktransgender were my lifeline 5 years ago when I first came out and started transition! I love y'all!! Anyway, now I'm applying to med school this year and hope to be a vagina surgeon one day!
As part of my journey, I joined the UCLA gender health program community advisory board which advised on the creation of a survey study that I think is super important for our community. Basically, the goal is to understand trans feminine folk's experiences, goals, and expectations with HRT - anybody who was AMAB and has or plans to transition and is >18 years old can particpate. Please consider filling out this survey :) LINK TO SURVEY
The researchers have leaned very heavily on trans voices to help guide this project and I personally made some contributions that I think are particularly important for our community. Nothing about us without us!
The survey is anonymous and takes 15-20 minutes to complete. Topics covered include history of gender-affirming treatments, goals and expectations of treatments, and priorities for treatment-related research. As a thank you for participation, you may choose to enter a raffle for one of eight $25 gift cards, which will be awarded on August 1st, 2021. Participation in the study is not required to participate in the raffle. Odds of winning will vary based on participation, but we expect them to be no lower than 1 in 10,000. While this survey focuses on the experience of trans femme and ENBYs, there will be a separate survey for folks who were AFAB in the near future. This is survey is IRB approved
Please also pass this on to anyone you think might be interested.
