My ladies with thick course beards or sensitive skin...how often do you shave?

I will be starting electrolysis soon but for time being, I have to shave. I absolutely hate shaving. Besides being a masculine task that I don’t like doing, I get a lot of ingrown hairs and it’s painful when my hair starts to grow in. I have always went time between shaving to reduce irritation but I don’t like having to have facial hair. I have never shaved daily or even more than once in a week so I’m wondering how my skin might respond. Any tips or advice? Thank you ladies!
