I am too scared to go back to work
Post Body

Basically, I was going to take someone's order and he started yelling at me, then accused me of not taking his order and started attacking my gender and sexuality. I burst into tears after he left. It was awful, he called me a bunch of slurs and was getting aggressive. Idk what to do, I am so scared of going back to work, this has never happened to me before.

Edit: I've seen some people suggesting pepper spray and other self defence tools, I live in Canada, that stuff is illegal here.

If one were to go this route, I hear pepper gel is better. Less likely to hurt yourself.

Well pepper spray gets into the air, making it more likely to blow into your face or something. Gel is, well, just a gel, and only hurts what it touches. Then again I don’t have experience I just hear what people say.
