Found out my new employer insurance covers a lot of trans surgeries!! Any advice on taking next steps?
Post Body

I am a pharmacy technician and am about to get enrolled with my employers health insurance. I called the HR that is involved with their health care benefits and verified my HRT doctor is in-network and the surgeries that would potentially get me where I want to be in transition.

I’ve only been on HRT for 6 months though, I’m assuming FFS is out of the question for a while? I think it is what would matter most to me. Vocal feminization surgery is also a big one I’d be grateful to get.

I see my HRT doc in less than two weeks and I’ll obviously talk to her about it but is there any way I should bring these up?
