How do we keep going?

Post Body

Hey, first of all, I love you all. So I have always loved the resilience protagonists. The ones that keep going not because they want to, but because they have to. You can apply that to moral choices, dreams or whatever they believe. I always fall for that kind of protagonists because most of the time, they are the underdogs, they are the ones that nobody thinks they can do it. Most animes these days do it terribly, but I am a sucker for the old ones.

So I have come to realize. We are them. Every single transperson has gone through SO MUCH SHIT. I mean, just from existing you get all the dysphoria, the bad thoughts, the depression, your own excuses... Then society comes and kicks you with all the transphobia, the sexism, the terrible laws prohibiting you from being yourself. I mean, if a single rightwing politic gets power, they will ban us as soon as they can. And I dont even mean any specific country, I am pretty sure it is valid for 80% of the countries.

I just wake up and think "Why are we still doing this?". I mean, all that effort, having to fight yourself, your mates, the whole world just to be yourself. And I find it incredible, because we do. Because we keep going. We keep changing to be happy and to be ourselves. Think about it. Your end goal. Your One Piece. The reason why we keep fighting is to be ourselves. How cool is that? It sounds cool as hell.

Imagine the scene. All the people that tried to keep you down, making you doubt, making difficult to access HRT... They are one grey big ass demon thing. "We ruined you, we did everything in our power to keep you down. Why? Why do you still rise?" Then you simply reply. "To be myself" And rock music ensues and you beat the crap out of them. Coolest thing ever.

Now back to earth. Every single time I see a post of someone who stood up and said "Call me ma'am." I feel chills down my spine. It just feels like such a powerful statement to me. I mean, I can tell someone what my pronouns are but to stand up to a stranger and say it like that. Chills, ladys. I could never do that. The courage, the bravery, the boldness. I love every single woman capable of doing it. You are heroines. For the ones like me, who are not capable of using that power, I give every single one of you a sisterly hug.

So, since I lost myself as soon as I started writing. We are anime characters with all the resilience in the world. And we are the main characters. Surviving in a postapocalyptic world with no more than our sheer will and estrogen. I hope it is a positive message, I thought it was but my writing is so sloppy and not straight that it may look otherwise. As I said in the beginning, all the love, ladies.
