Electrolysis prior bottom surgery?

Hi everyone, I have a quick question to prep for my bottom surgery. Is it required to get electrolysis ? I have had few laser sessions, I am Asian with dark follicles so laser works perfectly fine for me. I heard that during the surgery, doctor would do some follicle scraping as surgery prep.
