I’ve recently socially transitioned and I want to make this shift in my professional life too. I’m between jobs atm so I don’t need to worry about coming out at an existing workplace, so it’s just about ex-coworkers from previous jobs and potential future employers. The easy part there is just applying to new jobs as myself and updating my resume info and stuff, but I’m unsure how to handle LinkedIn esp since that’s where a lot of my job searching tends to be centered. Obv changing to my preferred name and updating my picture is one part, but I’m debating whether I should make a post explaining those changes and coming out as trans, or just say nothing and let anyone who already knows me figure it out themselves
Have any of y’all professional girlies run into this scenario? Do you make it clear upfront in your work life that you’re trans, or just present as a woman and not worry about it beyond that?
