I was walking home from work the other night around 10:30pm. I do this walk all the time, and Ive not once had an issue before this. As I was walking, a guy rolled down his window and started screaming at me about how I can't change my gender and so on. He was furious - like he seemed so damn angry at me. He then pulled over in the direction I was walking, so I rushed the other way back to where I work. I thought I was about to get attacked, raped, or killed. It was terrifying.
Luckily I was on the phone with my gf, and she did her best to help me calm down while I waited for a Lyft to take me home.
The scary thing is like, I feel like this guy must have seen me around, maybe at work, to immediately focus in on me. Im worried he will approach me.
I didn't do anything. Why in the world do people hate us to this extent? As dumb as bigotry is, I can shrug and say "whatever some people are just assholes," but to hate like this - to scream in anger and pull over to do whatever he was going to do. I just don't get it.
