So im a 27 year old trans woman, I like on low income working for a charity I'm the UK, and I'm struggling with getting donations for my ffs and top surgery.
I advertise my gofundme on insta and wherever else I can, but I've been struggling just to pay my bills so surgery seems an almost unobtainable goal. Especially considering I need almost 26,000 pounds for flights and after care plus the surgeries themselves.
It's quite literally impossible for me to get the surgeries I need without support from the community. Is there anyone with ideas on where I can go or what I can look to doing in order to raise these funds? Because I've hit a brick wall and without these surgeries I honestly don't think I can survive in today's climate.
To be clear, I'm not asking for anyone here to donate(though I can't deny wanting to shamelessly advertise my gofundme out of sheer desperation) but I am asking for help in tactics, or ideas for the fundraiser, ways it could get seen.
I'm honestly slowly dying inside and I can't cope with this face and this body any longer.
I know I have privilege because I'm a white passing mixed raced girl with a roof over my head and food in my belly and I can get by most months even if i do live hand to month, and I don't want to minimise that, but I am struggling with a capital S and I don't know who else to turn to but ypu guys and my community, no matter how spread apart we may be.
Thank you for your time and I'm sorry for being a burden.
