I'm a general physician and recently had to take over a colleague's patients for the week as said colleague is with holidays next week.
He knew me from before my transition as we went through med school together.
We caught up and had a bit of chit chat when he had the guts to ask me if it looks real down there.
He jumped in for me when I was out due to having my SRS, so he is aware about my genital status / that I'm post op. Still, I feel like this is an inappropriate question.
Especially in our field.
I didn't get upset. I just educated him that it's not done to ask such questions.
Besides, all vaginas are different in looks. Who is the arbiter on what looks like a normal vag?
