Law reform

An Act to Create Appeals for Criminal Cases (Amendment to the Constitution of Mount Augusta) was passed; you can see the vote here (the bill result thread has not been posted yet but it is evident that it did pass). This creates appeals to a bench of Judges in criminal cases.

An Act to Limit the Bringing of Actions is meanwhile being voted on, here. This is an act to limit actions being brought under the Mount Augusta Criminal Code if they have been known of and not acted upon for sufficiently long.

Wanted players

Judge DCHERO posted bounties of diamonds on players convicted by the justice system who have not served their sentences yet. You can see the details here; the main takeaways are that the eight convicts who are wanted should not be pearled in a manner illegal in the place where they are pearled.

Mount Augusta Art Competition

The Mount Augusta Art Competition is calling for art! Submit your ingame or out-of-game art to me by the 4th of October, for art's sake, and for maybe a prize of diamonds. See more information on this cultural event here.

Mount Augusta Comprehensive School

The Mount Augusta Comprehensive School (MACS) is now open! Located at -6396, 2733 (next to the Insula metro station), exhibits and occasional live lessons on three topics are now available, though still needing a bit of polish, with more to come. At present, I am the principal, while Neotide is a teacher; contact me if you would be interested in teaching. The Safety course (Room SW-1) is recommended for newfriends in particular, and all are encouraged to direct newfriends to the school. Scientia et cura.

Fort Briggs

The megavault to be utilised by the government of Mount Augusta is nearing completion, with the skybunker being the only mostly unfinished major component. Thanks to all who have helped, but Judge DCHERO, Bailiff jecowa, Cup for Security MrLlamma, and an anonymous donor in particular.

Mount Augusta-Nexus line

A railway line is currently being planned and surveyed, to run directly from Mount Augusta's Voter Tree station to Nexus. It will connect with the current Nexus-Westminster line, and most likely utilise Railswitch. It takes the fastest possible route from Mount Augusta to Nexus, with a diagonal and a single straight. waffle4breakfast, Cup for Infrastructure and I will be primarily working on this; as it will run mainly on existing rail, it is expected to be completed quickly.
