Article I. Voting

Section B. Conduct of Popular Vote

ii. Election Threads

f. Conclusion of Election - Once the election ends, votes must be counted as accurately as possible and ineligible votes disqualified. The results must be documented and publicized on the subreddit. Candidates are assigned ballots by the ballots' first choices. The candidate with the majority (>50%) of ballots wins the election. If no candidate meets this requirement, then the candidate or candidates with the fewest ballots is/are dropped and their ballots are redistributed to those ballots' next-choice candidates, if any. This process repeats until some candidate receives a majority of ballots and wins the election. If the last two candidates are tied, new run-off elections will be held again for only these last two candidates until one of them wins or drops out.

That might have been a waste of space.

Now, I understand that this has been a very tricky election to navigate and obviously I am trying to reform the voting, campaign and debate process.

I'd like to gather some comments about what worked in this election process and what didn't. For example, should we add more debate time? Is the IRV system we used utter trash because it gave us this idiot result (not my opinion btw)? Should the election need more time and more organized debate? Should I gather a poll of questions beforehand and force all candidates to answer them?

Feedback is what I'm looking for.

The next election is for Citylion's judge seat, the process of which will happen on March 4th, about three days from now. Remember to renew or obtain voter registration if you would like to participate and vote.
