With the Olympics only a day away, it's time to give the populous of Mount Augusta tips on traveling and a gist of their accommodations. Prepare yourself, O Augusta, for the time to shine is upon us!

Traveling to the Olympic Village

There are about two realistic ways to get to the Olympic Village (Coordinates: -3680, 6880, 82) These are the Great Overland Rail and by boat.

If you travel by boat, you'll want to make your way to -3649, 6787, 64. This is technically the Olympic boat racing course's location and not a dock, but since it's only used on one of the six days and it has a stairway up to the top of the plateau and a minecart elevator, you can probably get away with using it anyway. This is on the north side of the landmass the Olympics are taking place on.

If you're traveling by rail, I advise you use the Great Overland Rail. This rail goes above ground and may at times seem like you're going in the wrong direction, but don't worry, it follows the terrain and therefore sometimes goes in wonky ways. You'll end up where you need to go.

The Great Overland Rail connects to the Monorail seamlessly, so to get onto it just go south on the monorail and you'll be on it.

The Great Overland Rail uses snitches to decipher where your destination is. If you are not on a group for going to a city, you will go past that city. Therefore, to stop at the Olympic Village, you must be on the right group. Do /nljg Olympics-GER Olympics to join the group and automatically be routed to the Olympic Village. If you do not do this, you will overshoot and end up in Vinland.

Once here, the Mount Augustan Olympic Complex is immediately to the right of the train station. Set your spawn in the bed on the first floor of the Augustan Complex so you won't have to travel back if you die. Welcome to the Olympic Village!

Accommodations

The Mount Augustan Olympic Complex is set up like an apartment building and functions like a hostel. Upon arrival, contact Isit2004 either in-game or on Discord to be assigned a bunk. Each bunk comes with a chest you can reinforce to your own group to keep anything you buy or get while at the Olympics. These rooms are free-of-charge for all Augustans. Don't worry about running out of space; we'll shove you in broom closets if we have to.

If all you want is a bed to sleep in and you don't care about rooms and just want to watch, then keep your spawn on the first floor lobby bed.

Tips for the Games, Olympics, & Traveling

• Pack lightly! You don't want to die on the GOR or while Boating and lose a lot!
• If you're in a buying mood, bring iron, not diamonds! Almost every shop will be charging in iron and diamonds are a liability if you lose them.
• Be aware of price gouging! While it's a fact that you will have some price jacking, be careful for people taking advantage of the fact that you're a kind of captive audience.
• Don't fight creepers! Seriously, don't. The ground isn't reinforced and the Yoahtlans spent a long time terraforming. Don't blow up. *AFK indoors! We're in a desert, so husks are king and they don't burn in the daylight. You might get killed if you stay outdoors while AFK by a rogue mob.
• Be aware that food will not be provided! You will most likely have to be ready to buy food if you aren't willing to travel back to MTA for the megafarms.
