vii. Once a trial has begun an arrest has been made, the defendant detained accused may request the judge to a judge to be released until the conclusion of the trial related to the arrest. If the judge considers that the defendant does not present a danger to the community, they may grant this request. If the judge finds the defendant to have a significant risk of escape, they may grant a conditional release upon the payment of a bail, set by the judge in accordance to the risk of escape and the severity of the alleged crimes. If the defendant is found innocent, or if the defendant is found guilty but voluntarily submits to pearling within 24 hours of sentencing, bail will be returned to the defendant. If the defendant is found guilty and does not voluntarily turn themselves within 24 hours, their bail will be used for a bounty to secure their arrest.
