Hello everyone. Some people are a bit worried because they contributed to factories, but have yet to see any XP or essence. This problem is driven by the reality that a basic pylon and an apprentice transmuter produce aether and XP at a rate that is too slow for us to do much of anything with. We've needed to save almost all of it's production capacity for the upgrade. The transmuter is literally running, with someone watching and refueling it, 24 hours a day 7 days a week because the factory runtime is so slow. Diet went ahead and did the numbers for you, so this is what we have to look forward to very soon:
Tin Enrichment: Adept Transmuter (aka, what we're going to upgrade to very soon, farms are being established now, and all the groundwork is being set)
Recipe Materials: 80 birch logs (1 stack 16) 320 Potatoes (5 stacks) 128 pumpkins (2 stacks) 320 sugar cane (5 stacks) 21 aether
Run time: 30 minutes Output: 21 emerald blocks
Pumpkin farm output: 2,560 (40 stacks per 48hrs) Aether time requirement: 4hrs 1 aether exchange from essence (20 aether every 4hrs) Birch farm output: 320* logs per 32 hrs (5 stacks *roughly) Potato: We've already got double chests of them Sugar cane: Roughly 10 stacks from 1 farm per 48 hrs (We have 3-4 farms)
Amount of runs we can do per day based on aether: 24 (hours in day) / 4 (hours it takes to get aether) = 6 runs per day.
6 runs * 21 emerald blocks (Output from Tin Enrichment) = 126 emerald blocks (2 stacks roughly)
126 * 9 = 1,134 emeralds per day.
Comparison to Pine Enrichment in Apprentice Transmuter: (the dinky little transmuter we have now)
Recipe materials: 16 oak logs 64 potatoes 64 reeds 4 aether
Run time: 1 hour Output: 20 emeralds
Max runs per day: 24
24 (runs per day) * 20 (Output from xp recipe) = 480 emeralds
480 / 9 = 53 emerald blocks per day.
Overall: Adept Transmuter is 236.25% more efficient than Apprentice Transmuter
It's a lot like getting a new car, and the person who brings it tells you: "If you let this car sit in your driveway idling for a week it'll turn into a Ferrari." You still want to drive the car, but it's much better to let it sit because you'll get your Ferrari that much faster and you'll only suffer for a week.
Our Ferrari is leafburners, efficiency picks, enchanted armor, etc. If we wait just a little bit longer, our limiting factor might become how fast we can cram our transmuter full of ingredients.
I know it's hard to be patient, but I hope knowing exactly what's going on will help us all wait more diligently.
Thanks to everyone who has helped us reach this point, and we're excited for that moment when we finally have the capacity to ditch stone tools forever!
