I couldn't have asked for a better bunch of people to be welcomed into Civcraft by and consider my neighbours. Dan and Zaphod, you guys found me my first plots and encouraged me to learn the mechanics of the server. Thank you. Thank you to the innumerable other people in town and around the world who I've had the pleasure of meeting and working with.
A special thanks to Applecinder, Beastdudez, Applenuggets, Garkingbing, and 5point0 for being friends of Thorne.
I'm still making up my mind about what I want to do on the new map, but if I stay with Augusta, I would like to create a new neighbourhood to replace Thorne. One where I can address and fix all the things I messed up when we built Thorne. Essentially, I'm envisioning European style city blocks extending down a central avenue with a 60x60 size and 4 15x15 plots (combinable) on each side and a 30x30 central courtyard for horses and such. The buildings would be w2w (wall to wall) construction and midrise in height (no more than 3 stories). I'm just speculating here, because I know the first few months of 3.0 will be a resource scramble of us grinding until we have the necessary materials to recreate MAFO so we can get some basic tools and materials to build out our town.
If I stay, I would also like to ask for a small change to property law. I would like to implement a "service level" between 11-20y for ice roads and rail lines so we can get a usable network that takes only the most direct routes through town. If MA isn't cool with this, I would just do it in my neighbourhood.
Alternatively, if no one is opposed, I'd be open to doing all this as a satellite town, a colony of MA. I don't want to lose any of the friendships I've made in town, so I'd love to stay a part of MA. Anyways, I'm excited to see what all of you guys are dreaming up for 3.0.
