As most of you are aware, since I was elected as Lord Mayor and consequently resigned from my position as a judge, we've had an empty spot on the bench.

If you want to run to replace me, please announce your candidacy in this thread. For the rest of you, bear in mind that there will be a debate thread posted 48 hours from now, where you'll get the opportunity to ask questions of and engage in discussion with the candidates, so let's keep that to a minimum here.

The term of the new judge will run concurrent with that of the existing three, beginning upon confirmation and ending on August 23rd, 2015.

For our newer residents, if you'd like to register to vote in this election, you have until 2:17 PM EST today to do so in the current eligibility thread. There should be a new thread up sometime within the next couple of days, so if you miss this one, just wait for the new one to get posted.

Finally, a reminder to our new candidates, whoever you may be! You must be a Citizen of Mount Augusta, which has been defined as being a eligible voter. Simply fulfill the trivial requirements as described in this post and you are good to go.
