Someone called for it, so let's do a vote.
I'm not quite sure that my involvement with Eden, which is a security-oriented intergovernmental organization, which aims to keep its head out of politics, counts as political involvement, but regardless I think a vote at this point is important.
If this recall vote passes I'll step down. However, I think it's time to get rid of that section of the constitution. The original point of that section was to remove any possible tension between ancaps, communists, or other political parties that actually existed in 1.0.
We don't really have those sorts of parties in 2.0, not nearly at the same level or with the same ferocity. As long as individuals are able to remain neutral it shouldn't matter what city they're from or what groups they join. Some of the best judges in 1.0 were also leaders in the city of Haven. Back then Mt. Augusta was more of a newfriend city and needed external help to deal with the difficulty of the judicial system. We still need plenty of help with our system.
If this recall vote fails, I'll submit a constitutional amendment to remove the political affiliation section.
Lastly, if Michelle actually takes a break, we're left with one judge. I think I've done a good job as judge with plenty of difficult cases. I know a lot of people in the city don't like me, but I've never treated anyone with any bias, for better or worse, once they've entered my court.
Anyways, vote yes to remove me.
Vote no to keep me, and have the option of a constitutional amendment down the line.
