I really enjoy the story of Whiterose’s relationship with Elliot. I truly think she likes him. She finds him endearing and even connects with him on an almost spiritual level.
Yes she is likely to harm Elliot, but for what she sees as the greater cause, her project, but she’s become delusional. She has a different view of the world. She seems to actually believe she can bring people back, just as Angela once did.
Hurting Elliot is just temporary. But she still likes him, and even believes in his self-determination.
A few lines really show her curiosity of him as a person. Mostly verbatim.:
To Grant: “Satisfy a curiosity of mine, what did he steal.” Grant says his dog, Flipper. She laughs in an admiring way.
“He really is a crazy little goose.” After seeing the picture of Elliot after Tyrell shoots him. (One of my favourite lines!)
Says to herself “I hope you enjoy your last Christmas, my dear Elliot.” She says this very sincerely.
Edit: Grant was obviously super jealous of Whiterose’s admiration for Elliot, poor dude
