Sorry if this has been developed already... but I had an idea for a simple product that can bring clean water to those in need anywhere in the world.
The "Peltier effect" is where two dis-similar metals are connected and have current passing through them... one side gets warmer while the other side gets cooler.
Why can't a vertical wind turbine be built using differing metals for each side of the turbine blades, with the rotational force of the turbine generate=ing power through a dynamo, applying the peltier effect without a battery or other power source.
The design of the turbine blades could be shaped to collect the condensation from the cold side for the turbine blades, to a collection reservoir below - could also provide power for basic charging, power an emergency medical alert via cell, Starlink etc etc etc.
I'm sure if feasible, Mr Beast, Elon Musk and others would contribute to at least a few trial products being deployed etc - whoever funds it can take all the recognition, I don't really care about that side of things.
To me, it seems physically impossible this would not work - it is just a question of efficiency vs other water generation/harvesting options.
I wanted to put this into the public domain incase someone else had similar idea and wanted to use for profit only - I think an idea like this should be open source and available to anyone in need.
If anyone here is an engineer etc, am I missing something, or is this a viable option to be explored?
If viable, I don't need to earn a cent for it - if it is for the greater good, then lets get together and see if we can make it happen as see if we can find people to donate/fund etc to put it in the hands of as many people in need of water as possible.
Thanks,
Andrew :)
