Want to come and live for 1 month

As the title says, I have always wanted to live in LA.
I am thinking of finding a rental for the month of March.
I want to be in an area that is walkable to stores and restaurants and also close to the beach.
What neighborhoods should I look into? Brentwood? Santa Monica?
Other than Airbnb and Vrbo, where else can I go to find a rental?
Love if it’s an apartment or a space all to myself.
My budget is between $3-4.5K
Any advice is appreciated!
