US to Ontario (Toronto Area)
Post Body
Hoping to find some guidance and direction here. I'm by trade an industrial engineer, currently a quality engineer. I was hoping within a year I could start to immigrate to Ontario via work sponsorship. I have heard some obstacles that I will encounter with this.
- The company in Canada will have to prove they could not find a domestic hire, in order to hire me. Is this true?
- With a work sponsorship I wouldn't need a personal one would I?
- I make above average in the states, would I be able to afford the housing market in Ontario? The US has a supposed looming housing crash this year, curious if Canada is the same.
Those are my general questions for now to prep this, but if anyone else has advice or has done this before please feel free to add anything!
