they never tell you about how to deal with death of your hopes and dreams together. it seems like people hardly talk about how to deal with all the now-broken promises and especially how to deal with the loss of a future with that person.
mourning all the plans you made together. plans that never happened: like traveling the world together, being industry leaders together, being there for surgery aftercare. mourning all the future birthdays, halloweens and holiday seasons that you will never get the chance to spend with each other.
it's all gone... all the possibilities... dashed, killed, and buried.
perhaps this is the hardest part of moving on. i mean, how do you move forward when it feels like the path in front of you was destroyed by the person you were supposed to take it with?
if anyone's out there, i'd love to talk about it...
