Six days of 8 hour shifts. I survived

Post Body

So I may sound like a weak sauce making this post. For this whole week, starting from Monday to Saturday, I’ve been doing all 8 hour shifts for Wicked, Gladiator 2, and Moana 2. The first days were pretty good, then Moana 2 brought all the rush. I worked on Thanksgiving, which kinda sucked tbh, but they fed us at work. It’s really mind bottling that a lot of people go to the movies on Thanksgiving. I started working for the summer with Inside Out 2 and Deadpool 3, but this feels like the most busiest time I’ve ever dealt with.

Our main popper machine is on the fritz because it won’t get hot, so we had to resort to our other two. I guess the filter must be broken or something. Since it’s been so busy, the fresh popcorn keeps running out. Me and other employees wait next to the popper for fresh popcorn and repeat and repeat. Mobile order line was long, and concession line would be long from 10am to 10pm. People telling me that they’ve been waiting in line for an hour or more. At that point just go watch the movie. Surprised I haven’t had anyone yell at me for the long line. We have to get the popcorn and the drinks for the guest, so that’s a reason why we’re pretty slow.

I had just came back home from my closing shift and currently sitting on the toilet making this post. Now that I know how it’s like, I’ll be making sure to request the 24th and 25th of December off. I already know that Sonic 3 will bring in the big crowds for the holidays, but you won’t see me working on Christmas.
