OK so I looked over the rules and I'm pretty sure this is not against them I truly apologize if it is.
But my intention of this post is to thank all of you theater employees. Please allow me to explain.
I'm autistic, for those who don't know lots of people with autism have "special interests" these are usually a hobby or activity or thing that someone with autism has the potential to hyper focus on, this is also present in people with adhd.
Anyway my special interest is movies, I collect physical movies, I subscribe to almost every major streaming service and I subscribe to my local chain theaters ticket subscription where I can watch X amount of movies in X time period. I'm sure most of you are familiar.
I've worked retail and I'm sure it's similar enough to working in a theater that I can relate to shard frustrations, like entitled jerk customers.
I take full advantage of the movie pass and visit the theater typically several times a week and sometimes I see multiple movies in a day and can be at the theater for 6 to 8 hours.
The employees at my theater are amazing. They are always friendly, helpful, kind, the elderly employee who takes tickets remembers me and will make small talk ask how things where even remembered I had a birthday party there, I feel welcomed.
I can understand how crappy some customers can be and I can understand how repeated crappy customers can really drag down a person's attitude. But despite this I always feel good going to the theater. And the rare time something goes wrong I don't get upset, maybe a little bummed out I have to wait to see a movie I'm interested in, but never upset.
I have told the managers several times how much I appreciate thier staff. But I wanted to post here and just show all of you my appreciation however little that may mean you and people like you add a great deal of positivity to my life and it's very appreciated.
