I just watched "Good Luck To You, Leo Grande" (2022) starring Emma Thompson and it's one of the best films I've watched so far. It's about a retired religious education teacher over her 50s who hired a young sex worker after being widowed for 2 years.
Other similar films I like: - Still Alice (2022) starring Julianne Moore - Gloria Bell (2018) by Julianne Moore too - Hello, My Name Is Doris (2015) - Otherhood - Women
Series - Good girls - Sweet Magnolia
I've always loved movies/series with interesting and strong older women protagonists, I'd appreciate it if you have any recommendations. Any genre would do. Thanks!
