I recently watched The Bear on Hulu (or FX or FX on Hulu or whatever) and while it's not a movie, I'd give it a full-throated recommendation. It's about a decades-old Italian beef restaurant in Chicago and its owner/staff, to sum it up in short. It does a lot of things really well, but my favorite was depicting the flow of the kitchen production on both ends of the spectrum — a well-oiled machine and a hurricane of chaos. I worked at a similar type of restaurant in college and I think it really nailed the "tightknit family where everyone's always screaming and swearing at each other" aspect that comes with that kind of environment.
I was trying to think of films that do this kind of thing well too, and I couldn't particularly think of any. Anyone got any recommendations?
