I have a friend who is interested in watching more movies, including foreign films, but he doesn’t know where to start
I want to help him out, but I also don’t want to be the guy who recommends the Human Condition Trilogy or Come and See as someone’s first foreign film. What are some amazing foreign films, that are also accessible?
Elite Squad 1 and 2
City of God. Both Brazilian films with view points of law and order plus crime on the streets. Want a documentary then Bus 174 covers this as well.
Das Boot. German film about U Boat crew in WW2. Not a film for people who are claustrophobic.
