Damsel starring Millie Bobby Brown as a not so damsel in distress type character living in a magical dragon inhabited world. I thought I'd write this basic movie suggestion to those looking for a movie to watch with their kid(s). The ones who watched with us are ages 11, 12 (soon 13) and 27. There was nothing highly offensive for the younger ones as it's a PG13 rating for more the action and blood scenes. The film was beautiful to watch and had hints of 80s fantasy nostalgia. Angela Basset couldn't choose an accent to stick with so that was a little off putting but I enjoyed her character by the end. I'd recommend this movie as a family watch. What I liked most was the obvious point that the main character could battle all the problems thrown at her, on her own. It may have been hammered into your head by the end, that MBB's characters "got this" but I did enjoy the overall theatrics and over the top ending scenes. It was a fun adventure.
