I've recently been hooked on movies set 100 or more years ago in England or similar, and more specifically ones having to do with poverty and/or life hardship.
Good examples of what I mean are movies like Oliver Twist, Angela's ashes, the book thief (Though not all set in England but you get the jist..). Also, movies set around or during the Holocaust are also really nice, such as the pianist, Persian lessons etc. (Not really interested in the action side of it however, only the drama and hardship of it, if that makes sense). Any help here? Would be so appreciated!!!
