Looking for movies that involve a detective who goes nuts trying to solve their mystery or case, the detective or lead character just deteriorates over time, going nuts, losing their mind trying to catch their perp, or solve their mystery. A great example to me is Halloween, seeing Donald Pleasance’s character fixate on his perp to the point that he loses touch with reality. I’m sure there are movies with characters like this, and I’m not just concerned with any particular category
