At first it was the Vaxee PA, original reason was cause I didn’t have enough desk room. But when I turned the orientation of the pad I started playing significantly better.
Fast forward a couple years, even though I have a much bigger desk, with both the EM-C and NPC I noticed my performance is gradually better when I rotate the pads. I noticed it for the EM-C when I wanted the logo to be out of way while aiming. After noticing the pad is a bit too slow for me when playing non TacFPS, I went back to the NPC after originally not liking the pad at all.
This time I rotated the pad just for the fun of it, yet I still feel marginally more comfortable with the pad vertical instead of horizontal.
Is it really just placebo? Or do these pads all have similar differences in their X/Y axis’ glide that cause me to perform better with all three of them at portrait orientation? Really curious cause I feel like for the EM-C and NPC it makes the biggest difference in terms of my performance on the pads.
