Love this community and wanted to join in so I thought I would leave a review of my new model D. These our thoughts coming from model O user (I tried the new Xm1 for a day and returned it).
Buttons: M1&2 are crispy as hell and I think once I wear them down a little I will like them even more. No post or pre travel for me. Side buttons are very good too and way bigger than the O buttons, but the back side button has a bit of pre travel. Nothing I notice in game though thankfully.
Shape: I used a corsair m65 for the longest and that is one CHUNKY boi. Then I upgraded to a model o and it took a while to get used to but I found it to be a little too narrow since I was used to the width of the m65. I use a relaxed palm grip and I love the model D shape already. Way more filling than the O.
Durability: Due to a lot of reviews and posts here I was a bit nervous for my model D to arrive. Not to mention my model O was first batch and it suffered from a few creaks, sidewall flex, and eventually the m2 started squeaking. None of those issues were horrible but I was definitely aware of them. Happy to report I got a relatively good copy! No shitty dpi button, no sidewall flex, no clicks when squeezing it any which way, none of that. The one thing I do have which is very very minor but noticeable is that when I scroll upwards with my scroll wheel occasionally it makes a slight rattle sound. Nothing too bad but I will be keeping an eye on it.
Cable: I love this cable compared to the old one. Much tighter and fits in my bungee way easier. It also feels a bit more flexible even though it is tighter which is nice.
Feet: The feet on my model D feel just a tiny tiny bit better than my O. Very smooth, love them.
Overall: I am very content with this mouse and rate it a 9/10. Any questions about this mouse, model o, or the new xm1 are welcome. Happy to make any comparisons as well.
