Help Deciding on a Mouse Replacement?
Post Body

So for the last few years I'd been using a Razer Naga 2012 and it's been treating me well. However, recently it's come to the end of its rope and I decided I was due for a new gaming mouse.

In terms of what I'm looking for, I play a wide variety of games from FPS to MOBA to the occasional Civ game, so I'm not looking for anything geared towards one or the other in particular. I realized the numpad on the side of my Naga really wasn't getting as much use as I'd thought, though I enjoyed having the extra buttons there as an option anyway. It's also worth noting that I am a full-time college student and will have to move around with this mouse a bit (it's essentially required for the work I have to do).

Basically, my criteria boil down to (all are preferred, I can do without some):

  • Light to middle weight
  • Not too large (the Naga 2012 fit my hand perfectly)
  • Wireless/wired (detachable cable)
  • Good precision sensor
  • Minimalist look (nothing over the top, minimal "gamer" aesthetics besides RGB lighting)
  • Price point under $100, preferably around the $50 range

I know that'd be asking for a lot, and I've been looking around. So far, I've come across the SteelSeries Rival 700/300, the Logitech G900/G502, Mionix Castor, and the Corsair M65/Scimitar.

If anyone could direct me to any other options or give any opinions on the mice I've looked at, it'd be much appreciated.
