Hey guys! I’m an experienced outdoorsman, former army Ranger, and thru-hiker. I have a huge respect for the backcountry and am very risk-adverse.
I’m planning a few ascents that, for the first time in my life, require rope and a harness - The Grand Teton being one of them.
I can tie a Swiss seat and understand very basic mountaineering principals but would appreciate some guidance on where the find an instructor for a refresher course/mentoring. I’m in Kansas, USA and we don’t have any mountains.
Advice appreciated, thanks!
