For what kind of climbs would these boots be adequate?
Post Body

Salomon Quest 4 GTX Forces 2 EN. I love how comfortable they are I could walk forever in them and I just got a new pair and was wondering if there would be any 3500-4000m peaks in the alps where these are enough? Ive done a few 3000m, but they were basically hikes to the top and not very technical.

I would like to do a 4000m, but I cant really afford so much extra gear and new boots needed for crampons atm, beacuse the ones I have cant fit them right?. I already have an ice axe, hiking poles and microspikes. Would that be adequate on any 4000m or will I have to settle for something a bit smaller. Im going with one or two friends so not alone.

Spring walking and summer hiking. They're not mountaineering boots and shouldn't be treated as such.
