Post Body

Took my 5th injection today. I weighed myself beforehand and actually went up 4 pounds. My partner gently reminded me that it is natural that weight fluctuates. He asked me about my blood sugars and yes, this last week they were between 120-180, which has been stabilizing since three months ago.

I’m an ok responder- food noise is still relatively suppressed and no side effects except when I forget to actually eat. The protein shakes have been great for filling food space (versus a party size bag of Cheetos lol).

Shifting food and drink choices is still a struggle. Weirdly enough, the sugar drinks I used to drink without thinking either are TOO sweet or else have no flavor so I’m turned off by them. Maybe it’s just because I’m back to more ice water and fruit/infused ice water this summer. And lemon water too.

My doctor wants me on this dosage for a couple months to see where my progress takes me. The holiday season will be the hardest challenge, but it was because I was at 10.2 A1C last November that this all came about. Last check in was 7.7 before MJ. Let’s hope my next check in for blood work gets me closer to 5.5-6 🙏🏻

This forum is amazing and I’m glad we’re all sharing our various journeys! Thanks for your time and reading.
