I sat with my partner for about 10 minutes in fear of my first injection - the last time I’d done self-administration was with Bydureon and the injections had hurt. But being T2D since 2017, I finally said I was willing to try injections again.
When I finally shot myself in the stomach, I was slowly breathing and not looking. When I finally clicked it, the sound scared me more than anything and the clicks were almost simultaneously back to back, but did the full 10 second count to ensure all of it was administered. Had like a drop of blood and a little medicine drip out but I hope the majority of it made it in.
I’m so nervous and excited for where this well take me. I decided to finally do this because a friend of mine had great success over the course of a year and she looks amazing, on top of her numbers being stellar.
My end goals are to get my A1C down to normal levels, develop better eating habits, get off as much medication as possible (myriad of health issues but T2D is the biggest one!), and work to get under 200lbs- something I haven’t seen since I was 18. Oh and dance again! My knees haven’t been the same since I crossed over 250 and being 310-325 just doesn’t cut it on my 5’5” frame.
Thanks for reading! I’ll be looking around more to learn and exchange with others who have used this medication to help change their lives too :)
