While I have never had a diabetic A1C (always under 6.3) my free insulin numbers have been so high I should have had diabetic numbers.
I started Mounjaro in August after switching from Ozempic which destroyed my GI tract. I went to the 5mg dose as it was the equivalent to my Ozempic dose and had zero side effects. For the first time in a decade my free insulin number was NORMAL after 3 months and Iโve lost 12 pounds. Down into the 240s for the first time since 2013. My insurance has decided they wonโt cover my meds anymore unless my A1C is over 6.5.
Wild. Anybody else had this happen?
