Need some help please. My 2012 R1200RT-P was just delivered by the shipper the other day, and the batteries are totally dead. When I put my jump box on the main battery, ignition on brings up the display, turn signals, lights, horn, etc. However, when I try to start the bike, there’s just a loud click (which repeats at regular short intervals if I hold the start button down). After trying long enough, the dash reads EWS, but cycling the key off and back on clears that. I cleaned the battery terminals and tightened them, and my jump box has more than enough power. I’ve also tried dumping the clutch in first at a slow roll to try to break the starter free, and gave it a few gentle taps with a hammer. I’m kind of at a loss here because I have a video of the bike running and driving with a jump from when it was auctioned off. Googling has been generally unhelpful (dead battery, tighten connections, etc.). I just can’t understand what could’ve changed while it was sitting between the auction and getting to me; the mileage is the same so I know none of the shippers took it on a fatal joyride. The loud click tells me it’s trying but it can’t make it happen.

I’m taking it to the dealer as soon as I can, but this is really frustrating and disappointing. I’d love to see it run before I drop it off. Thanks in advance.
