A-stars 8RS or SG12s?

Hello guys! (Sorry mods if there's a gear megathread that I missed, please feel free to redirect me to it and delete this post)
I am getting a new pair of boots and plan to keep them for a few years, so I can afford to spend a couple extra hundred on a higher-level boot. I am undecided if I should get the Alpinestars Tech 8s or the Gaerne SG12s. I wear knee braces if that helps. Has anybody tried them two or either? What's your experience with them? Thank you!
